Here is the English text:
The world - when has the world begun to become so complicated? Has it always been like this? In the past - yes in the past
everything was then so simple. But was life in the past really not complicated, or is the only difference due to the fact
that man now knows more or has learnt more?
An average weekly edition of The New York Times contains
more information than a person in the 17 Century could meet in his whole life.Today we are faced with an average of 100,000
words - every day, and that although the average person can no longer follow a sentence of more than 15 to 20 words. Supposedly!
Never before has information been more readily available, it was never less well-organised. Whether it deals with a cooking
recipe or Fukushima, in the Net all is equally important. At the same time more and more information is showered on us from more
and more channels
We read the paper, we phone, watch TV, , check our emails and the Facebook-Status.
Very honestly, has the Internet really made our life easier? And if so, why then do I get 4 million answers to one question?
But what can one do? One cannot not inform oneself.
After all, everything hangs together somehow. So as with the story of the butterfly which, through a beat of its wings, triggered a hurricane.
Everything is interconnected as never before, and so are we.
And thus are we increasingly losing the overview. We lose ourselves, and know not what, and in what we should believe.
(Tobias climbs a ladder and gives the skull a punch). Think about it! Yes, the world has become so complex.
How should we respond? With despair, apathy - or even not?
In order to understand the world, we need someone to explain it.
Who makes relationships comprehensible. Someone who gives values and whom we can trust . Someone who brings people
together, who supports a sense of community . Someone who gives us an overview and who makes orientation easier.
And someone who is fooling no one, AND CERTAINLY NOT HIS OWN OPINION.
